In honour of gallantry performance: SG confers gallantry medals and certificates on recipients

A ceremony to confer honourary medals and certificates on military gallantry performance was held at the Zeyathiri Beikman in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General ThadoeMaha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing delivered a speech at the event, saying that many patriotic and courageous heores have turned out throughout the history of Myanmar and by looking at the emergence of so many heroes who love the nation and the people, it can be seen that the loyalty of the citizens to the country and the people and they have been awarded with honourary titles that they deserve.

The State and Tatmadaw honor to those who have sacrificed their lives, blood and sweat for such historic responsibilities every year on Independence Day. In the ceremony, gallantry medals will be presented to 32 recipents, the  gallantry certificate of Commander in Chief of Defence Services to 2 winners and the honorary certificate of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services to 39.

On behalf of the Commander-in-Chief, the respective Command Commanders would present Ye Bala title to 181 recipients, medals for Excellent Performance in Managerial Field to 110 recipients, medals for Excellent Performance in Social Field to 12 recipients, medals for Excellent Performance in Industrial business to 4 persons, medals for Excellent Performance in Service business to 10, medals for Excellent Performance in Science Field to 4, medals for Excellent Performance in medical field to one recipient, medal for Excellent Performance in Technology to 74, the gallantry certificate of Commander in Chief of Defence Services to 136 recipients and the honorary certificate of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services to 404.

The Senior General als called for handing over the gallantry medals and certificates that have been awarded to the new generation,  discharging duties responsibly in the state defense and national building tasks of the Tatmadaw and striving to become good Tatmadawmen wiith the concept that the Three Main National Causes will be protected forever while understanding the value and heritgae of Independence.

Later, the Senior General presented gallantry medals to 32 recipents, the gallantry certificate of Commander in Chief of Defence Services to 2 winners and the honorary certificate of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services to 39 recipients, respectively. Later, the Commander-in-Chief and party took commemorative photos together with officers, other ranks and heirs who secured military gallantry honorary medals and certificates.

After the ceremony, the Senior General and party gave a tea in honour of the medal and certificate recipients. Myawady Band entertained them with honorary songs.  In Tatmadaw, the number of military gallantry medals and certificates winners totalled six Aung San Thuriya title winners, 51 ThihaThura title winners, 554 Thura title winners, six ThihaBala medal winners, 1,860 gallantry record winners, 2,050 gallantry medal winners, 339 winners for gallantry certificate of the Supreme Commander, 3,125 winners for gallantry certificate of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, 9 winners of honorary certificate of the Supreme Commander and 2,351 winners of honorary certificate of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services until January 2022.
