





Four winners of the Independence Mawgun Second and Third Class Awards joined the 79th-anniversary Armed Forces Day celebration.
Prior to the occasion, the attendees were hosted to a tea reception by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win and wife on Wednesday morning. During the meeting, the Vice Senior General inquired about their health conditions and provided nutrition and honorary cash.
Among the attendees were Independence Mawgun Third Class Award winner U MaungMaung, aged 101, Independence Mawgun Second Class Award winner U Kyaw Sein, aged 100, Independence Mawgun Third Class Award winner U Aye Thein, aged 96, and Independence Mawgun Second Class Award winner U Ba Chaw, aged 96. They are in good health and recounted their experiences during the anti-fascist revolution, filled with patriotic and nationalist fervor.
