Honoring Ceremony for Award Winners: Bago Region CM delivered the speech of honor

A ceremony to present honorary certificates and awards was held at Bago City Hall in the morning of March 17th. Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and his wife attended the ceremony and delivered the speech of honor.

In his opening speech, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win stated that this was a significant ceremony recognizing and rewarding deserving individuals in accordance with the principles of fairness. He announced that a total of 226 individuals who had excelled in various sectors including economics, agriculture, livestock breeding, industry, management, education, healthcare, social affairs, environmental conservation, security, peace and tranquility, and rule of law within Bago Region would be honored. This includes 116 recipients of honorary degrees and 110 recipients of honorary certificates for their outstanding contributions to the nation and region during February 2026.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister, along with the Chief Justice of the Region High Court and government officials, presented certificates, medals, and cash awards to the outstanding awardees according to their respective sectors.

The ceremony continued with musical performances by singers, after which Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win and his wife presented cash rewards to the performers. Following the presentations, the Chief Minister and his wife cordially greeted and interacted with the honorees in attendance, it’s learnt.
