Honoring awards recipients: MoI UM gave an opening remark

The ceremony of honoring the recipients of excellent performance awards and honorary titles on the achievement of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in commemoration of the 77th Independence Day took place at the Ministry of Industry, Office No. (30), in Nay Pyi Taw on 7th January.

The event was attended by Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Deputy Minister U Yin Maung Nyunt, Directors-General, Heads of Departments, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Directors-General, General Managers, award recipients, and the responsible officials.

In his opening speech, the Union Minister stated that the awarding process for performance honors and titles was carried out systematically and based on clear criteria, ensuring that only truly deserving individuals received the awards.

He emphasized that employees who were recognized should be proud and honored. He also stated that the SOEs under the Ministry of Industry are continuously striving to improve their performance, and the top-performing departments and industries will be recognized with awards in 2024.

He urged everyone to work collaboratively to achieve the ministry's goals and to focus on improving employees' skills and capabilities.The Union Minister also mentioned that, through collective efforts, innovations that benefit the nation should be encouraged.

He praised those who received performance-based awards and titles from the state, urging them to continue contributing with dedication.Following this, the Deputy Minister of Industry elaborated on the criteria and selection process for the performance awards, which were done meticulously.

The Director-General of the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection expressed thanks pm behalf of the honorary awards and and concluded the ceremony. Attendees were then hosted with a morning meal, with further arrangements made for the guests and award recipients.
