Honoring Athletes: SAC member DPM honored the medal winner athletes

A ceremony of presenting certificate of honor and cash prize to the athletes and coaches representing the Ministry of Home Affairs who have done good performances to secure the medals at the 32nd SEA Games hosted by Cambodia was held at the Areindama Hall in Office No (8), Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 4th of June with the attendance of SAC member, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen SoeHtut, deputy ministers and senior officials.

In his words of honor, the SAC member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister encouraged to make effort convincing that the uplifting the sport is the safeguarding the country and to secure more medals in coming sports competitions representing the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In the 32nd SEA Games, a total of 49 individuals including 36 athletes and coaches, administrators and referees competed in 9 sports. 18 athletes gained 7 gold medals, 7 silver and 9 bronze medals in SepakTakraw, Vovinam, Taekwondo, Women Football, Chess, Boxing and Athletics altogether 23 medals.

Next, the SAC member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister Lt-Gen SoeHtut presented certificate of honor and cash prize of honor to 7 athletes who grabbed the gold medals and 5 women football players who went up to the final match, deputy minister Chief of Myanmar Police Force Maj-Gen Zin Min Htet gave to the athletes of SepakTakraw and 7 women football players and the permanent secretary U KhaingTunOo to the athletes of Vovinam, Chess, Boxing, Athletics and Taekwondo who secured bronze medals and Director General U Myint Than to the athletes, coaches, administrators and referees.

Then, an athlete shared experience in the sport competition and expressed words of thanks and the SAC member deputy prime minister union minister Lt-Gen SoeHtut hosted with the tea table of honor for the athletes and cordially greeted the athletes and coaches.
