





The honoring ceremony for the athlete who won awards at the 15th World Bodybuilding and Body Strength Championships, including gold medalist Ye Tun Naung, as well as the logo, mascot, and songwriters/singers for the 5th National Sports Festival, was held at the Wunna Theiddhi Sports Stadium (C) in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.
At the ceremony, the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, U Min Thein Zan, delivered a speech, emphasizing the importance of honoring individuals who deserve recognition. He noted that in November 2024, Myanmar Athlete Ye Tun Naung participated in the 75kg men’s bodybuilding competition at the 15th World Bodybuilding and Body Strength Championships held in the Maldives, where 41 countries competed. Ye Htun Naung won the gold medal, showcasing his talent and dedication. The Union Minister expressed immense pride in his achievements, highlighting that this victory, along with other international accolades, greatly contributed to country's reputation in the field. He encouraged everyone to continue striving for success in future international sports competitions.The minister also outlined the process for selecting the logo for the 5th National Sports Festival, stating that 31 participants submitted 68 logos, which were carefully reviewed and selected. The individuals responsible for the winning logo, mascot, and the songwriters/singers were all honored at the ceremony.
Awards were presented as follows: Ye Tun Naung received a certificate of honor and a prize of 30 million kyats for his gold medal at the World Bodybuilding Championship. U Soe Thiha Kyaw, who won the logo competition for the 5th National Sports Festival, was awarded a commendation letter and 250,000 kyats. The mascot designer, U Than Zaw, received a certificate of honor and 2.5 million kyats. Songwriter U Than Lin Zaw (Zay Lin Naing-KZO) and singer Ma Zun Moe Sek Lin were also honored with certificate of honor and 2 million kyats each, presented by the Union Minister, Deputy Ministers U Zin Min Htet, U Thein Lin, respectively.
Following the award ceremony, the recipients expressed their gratitude, and a group photo was taken to commemorate the event.
