Holidays Season: Paying homage at pagodas, relaxation at recreation places

Being the Thadingyut holidays, pagodas and temples across Myanmar are crowded with the visitors on Saturday.

In Nay Pyi Taw Council area, people visited the Uppadata Sandi Pagoda to pay homage. Likewise, Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon Region is crowded with the pilgrims who perform the good deeds.

In Mandalay, pilgrims paid homage to Maha MyatMuNi Buddha Image. People including members of the Sangha and nuns paid homage to the pagodas and temples and perform meritorious deeds in line with the COVID-19 preventive measures.

Moreover, people also visited parks, gardens and beaches to take relaxation during the Thadingyut holidays. At night, colourful lights and lanterns are decorated along the streets, at the trees and the recreation places like water fountain garden and parks.
