Holiday Announcement: Chinese New Year Day designated as public holiday

It’s reported that in Myanmar,religious days, historical days of the state, New Year days and Kayin New Year day are announced by the government in advance before the start of each calendar year.

Public holidays for the calendar year 2025 have been announced. As Myanmar is a country of the international family, and January 1, which is considered a public holiday in most countries and designates the day as International New Year Day and a public holiday.

Likewise, like some countries in the world, in order to further strengthen the “Pauk-Phaw” relationship with China, which is a neighboring partner country, the Chinese New Year Day has been designated as a public holiday in Myanmar.
