






Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn received a delegation led by Editor-in-Chief of Yunnan International Cooperation Center (YICC) for South and Southeast Asia Mr. Zhang Ruogu of Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China at the Myanma Radio and Television on Pyay Road in Yangon on Monday morning to discuss holding China-Myanmar Twin City Media Forum 2023.
On the occasion, the Union Minister said that due to promoting Myanmar-China Phauk Phaw friendship, the friendship between the people could be enhanced and strengthened more. Arrangements for holding the 2023 China-Myanmar Twin City Media Forum are especially appropriate.
China-Myanmar Twin City Media Forum will be held in Mandalay in the third week of November this year in a grand manner and about 30 people from China and 70 people from Myanmar, totaling about 100 will be invited and the Union Minister called for arrangements to be made for visiting Chinese guests to Nay Pyi Taw after the forum.
After that, attendees from the two sides discussed the successful holding of the forum on which the Union Minister coordinated the requirements.
Next, the Yunnan representative said that cooperation in the media sector is beneficial for the two countries and he expressed his preference for choosing to hold the forum in Mandalay which is rich in culture.
He called for the cultural entertainment program of the two countries in the forum and discussed the plan for organizing the forum.
After discussion, the Union Minister together with Yunnan delegation viewed recording of the Quiz Time Program in English language that is broadcasting on Myanmar International (MI) Channel of MRTV in monthly.
After that, the Union Minister looked into the direct livestreaming of News in the News Program that is broadcasting on MRTV-HD Channel at 10 am daily.
In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited the office of Myanmar Press Council in Yangon and met Chairman U Ohn Maung (Myinmu Maung Naing Moe and member) and discussed cooperation of media sector with foreign countries.
