Hoisting golden umbrella: SAC Chairman hoisted golden umbrella and diamond bud

The ceremonies of enshrining relics into the upper-repository, hoisting golden umbrella and consecration ceremony of the Sattasattaha Mahabodhi stupa erecting in the compound of Buddha Park in Kengtung Township of Shan State (East) were held and the members of Sangha led by the 16th Sangharaja of Shwekyin Buddhist sect Chanseller of Sitagu World Buddhist Universities Abhidhajamaharathaguru Abhidhajaaggamahasaddhammajotika Dr.Baddanta Nanissara and Presiding Sayadaw of Thiladhamma Konetha Tawya Aggamahasaddhammajotikadhaja Baddanta Kovida (Wasi Peik Sayadaw) graced the ceremony.

Also present at the ceremonies were the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Council joint-secretary Lt. Gen. Ye Win Oo and wife, council members and wives, union ministers, Shan State Chief Minister and wife, senior military officers from the office of commander in chief and wives, Commander of Triangle Region Command, invited guests, officers, ranks and families, local residents.

First, the congregation led by the SAC Chairman and wife observed nine precepts administered by the Sitagu Sayadawgyi and the lay persons offered Paritta flowers, water, thread, sand to the members of Sangha and took the Paritta Sutta recited by the members of Sangha.

Then, the lay persons brought the Paritta flowers, water, thread, sand and scattered and tied at the precinct of the stupa.

Next, the Prime Minister and wife offered Diamond bud and religious objects and offertories to the members of Sangha.

Then, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister conferred the religious title of Aggamahasaddhammajotikadhaja to the (Wasi Peik) Sayadawgyi.

Next, the congregation took the sermon delivered by the Sitagu Sayadawgyi and shared the merits gained.

Afterward, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister presented gifts to the architects and engineers who constructed the Sattasattaha Mahabodhi stupa and the architects and engineers entrusted the construction completed stupa to the original donors of SAC Chairman and wife.

Then, the Prime Minister, wife and entourage conveyed the diamond bud, regious objects and tiers of golden umbrella in palanquin in close-wise direction around the stupa.

Next, the Sayadawgyis and donors of stupa took place at the upper-repository and the prime minister enshrined the religious objects into the repository at the auspicious time and sprinkled with scented water.

Then, the prime minister, wife, members, attendees and local ethnic people, at the time of auspiciousness, conveyed the diamond bud, tiers of golden umbrella atop the stupa by pulling the rope attached to the fly-palanquin.

Next, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and members hoisted diamond bud and tiers of golden umbrella atop the stupa and sprinked with scented water.

Then, in commemoration of accomplishing hoisting diamond bud and tiers of golden umbrella atop the stupa, the banknotes were tossed.

Afterward, the SAC chairman prime minister offtered lotus robe, alms-food in emrald bowl, fruits, flowers and water to the Buddha image resided in the cave of Sattasatthaha stupa.

Then, the members of Sangha performed the consecration ceremony of the stupa and the ceremony was concluded.

Later, the Sitagu Sayadawgyi signed on the guest book of the stupa, sprinkled with scented water to the stone inscription of the stupa and gave nine strikes at the bell of the stupa.

Afterward, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister, wife and attendees offered day meal to the members and Sangha and hosted launch to the guests.

Next, the SAC Chairman and members paid homage to the Sattasattaah Mahabodhi stupa and  signed on the stupa’s guest book.

Similarly, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and members paid homage to the Animisa Sattaha Animisa stupa and Abhayarajamuni Buddha image in the Buddha Park and offered flower, water.
