Hoisting golden umbrella: Kachin State CM and wife attended the ceremony

The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan attended the ceremony of hoisting golden umbrella atop the Zina Man Aung Ahlotaw Pyae pagoda elected in the compound of DhammaRamThi monastery, Shwe Sett Ward in Myitkyina Township of Kachin State in the morning on 4th April.

Next, the congregation led by the Chief Minister and wife observed 9 precepts administered by the presiding Sayadaw of Dhamma Rakkhita Wun Tho monastery.

Next, the Chief Minister and wife, state chief justice and wife, state ministers and state advocate general and well wishers offered Diamond bud, Hansa, golden reliquary, pennant shaped vane and umbrellas for 8 encircled stupas to the members of Sangha, took the Paritta Suttas recited by the Sangha and sermon delivered by the Sayadaw, presenting certificate of honor to the well wishers and shared the merits gained.

Then, the golden umbrella, Diamond bud, Hansa, golden reliquary, pennant shaped vane and umbrellas for 8 encircled stupas were hoisted atop the pagoda and encircled stupas, the banknotes were tossed in token of successful ceremony and the dry rations and offertories were offered to the members of Sangha.
