HK chief executive meets China premier in Beijing

Hong Kong's leader Carrie Lam met with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Beijing on Wednesday to report on the territory's first legislative elections. During the talks, Li said China would continue to support the "one country, two systems" principal, referring to the increasingly threadbare framework by which Hong Kong was to retain its own political, social and financial institutions for 50 years after the handover.
