The very 1st table talk on historical experiences took place at the National Library in Yangon on Wednesday.
This is to spread the knowledge among the youths on the experiences of Myanmar history professionals; to value the Myanmar History; and to participate enthusiastically in the fields of history. Department of Historical Research and National Library under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture organized the talk. Secretary of Myanmar Historical Commission led the talk with the speakers who are the members of the Commission. The talks focused on ancient and modern histories, sharing the experiences and difficulties concerning the fields of history.
Secretary, Myanmar Historical Commission, Dr. Kyaw Win said “Spreading the Historical Subject is our priority. I’d share how I learned the historical subject in student life; how I taught the history subjects to the students as a teacher; how to do research; and how we have to write the history. We need to learn the history systematically. History happens every day.”
Teachers, students and many others who are interested in history also participated in the talk. The results of the talk can support not only the History but also the Culture, Director General of the Department of Historical Research and National Library stressed.
Director General, Department of Historical Research and National Library, Aung Myint said “History and Culture are related. History can support promotion of the culture. How much culture plays a role in the history is also important. That’s why we organized this talk besides our usual events.”
Department of Historical Research and National Library has plans to organize such kind of talks with various themes once in every four months.
