Hillary Clinton gives remarks at Vital Voices event

Former United States Secretary of State and Co-founder of Vital Voices, Hillary Clinton, spoke at its Global Leadership Awards on Wednesday. She congratulated this year's honorees at the ceremony in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The honorees are women that come from four continents.

Hillary Clinton, Former United States Secretary of State said "No matter the challenge, no matter the crisis, women like our honorees, are stepping forward and taking action. They are agents of change. They are makers of peace. They are drivers of progress."

The Vital Voices Global Partnership was established in 1997 and has directly invested in more than 20,000 changemakers across 184 countries and territories since its inception in 1997.
