



Yangon Region Public Transport Committee released an instruction to the highway express lines to avoid charging higher fares to the passengers in the upcoming opened season.
Since Thadingyut holidays is around the corner, the numbers of passengers who use the highway bus service are expected to increase.
Lyan Cin Mang, Joint Secretary, YRTC said "There will an increased number of passengers during the upcoming opened season. So, the highway express line companies have been instructed to sell tickets with usual prices to the passengers."
The passengers have to show the National Registration Cards to buy the highway bus tickets as instructed by the YRTC.
Moreover, the bus lines are instructed to check the parcels which are belonged to the passengers before the vehicle leaves from the terminals.
Lyan Cin Mang, Joint Secretary, YRTC said "About 314 express buses are running daily from 115 highways express lines in Aung Mingalar Highway Bus Terminal and there are about 5,757 passengers use the service daily. Likewise, there are 66 express lines with over 150 buses are running daily from Dagon Ayar Highway Bus Station with around 1,400 passengers."
Currently, due to the increase of COVID-19 infection rates in Myanmar and the passengers are advised to strictly followed COVID-19 rules and regulations.
