High-speed sleeper trains connecting Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong began operations on Saturday, offering travelers faster and more convenient journeys.

The new service reduces travel times significantly, making trips between Beijing and Hong Kong just 12 hours and 34 minutes, and between Shanghai and Hong Kong 11 hours and 14 minutes. Passengers can now opt for overnight travel, departing from any of these cities every Friday to Monday night and arriving at their destination the following morning.

Tickets for the inaugural sleeper trains sold out quickly upon release on June 5th, highlighting strong demand for this upgraded travel option. The introduction of these sleeper trains marks a milestone in enhancing connectivity and travel comfort between China's major cities and Hong Kong.
