High demand for Beans and Pulses: The sales of beans and pulses surge in Mandalay market

Post-Thingyan period, Due to high demand from China, various beans and pulses fetch good price and the higher volume of sale at Mandalay beans and pulses market.

Soe Win Myint said "The prices of Green gram (Kayan Shwewah variety) are estimated at 225,000 Kyats per bag, Kidney Beans/Rajma are estimated at 290,000, red peanut is at 7,500 Kyats per viss and white peanut is at 6,500 Kyats per viss. As the closure of border gates between China and Myanmar due to Covid-19 pandemic, the sales have delayed last year and this year, the governments of the two countries allowed reopening the border gate, so the border trade is showing the growth."

Green grams (anyar shwe wah) fetched 19, 5000 Kyats per three-basket bag and Peanut seeds were priced at 7,500 Kyats per viss and white sesame seeds were priced 320,000 Kyats per three-basket bag.
