Heavy snowfall hits Afghanistan capital

Heavy snowfall has hit Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, disrupting daily life as temperatures dropped sharply and roads became hazardous. The snow blanketed large parts of the city, slowing traffic, forcing some schools and offices to close, and raising concerns about access to essential services, particularly for vulnerable communities.

Authorities urged residents to take precautions as cold weather conditions were expected to persist.
