Heavy snow in northwest mountains of Tabuk

Heavy snowfall blanketed the northwest mountains of Tabuk city in Saudi Arabia near the Jordanian border on Monday.

Hundreds of cars were stuck on the road as people flocked to enjoy the unusual weather in the Kingdom, which usually enjoys a desert climate. The high mountains of Tabuk were capped with snow which had been falling for the past three days. The Saudi Meteorology centre on Monday reported that thunderstorms were expected, accompanied by heavy rain and hail in Mecca, Riyadh and other areas of Saudi.
