Bosnia has been hit by heavy precipitation, with up to 40 centimetres of snow accumulating in the capital, Sarajevo, since Sunday.

Authorities said between 60 and 100 millimetres of rain have fallen in southern parts of the country, raising concerns over flooding and infrastructure damage. One woman died in hospital after being struck by a collapsing tree during severe weather. Forecasters warned that more precipitation is expected throughout the week, accompanied by a sharp drop in temperatures.
