Heavy rains flood coastal cities in Ecuador

Heavy rains that followed Cyclone Yaku have flooded properties and roads in the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil. The downpours caused the Guayas River to burst its banks, causing widespread flooding in the port city. Residents in nearby Puerto Bolivar were also affected by the deluge.Officials say that heavy rains this winter season have killed at least 21 people and left 23,000 homeless.
