Torrential rains triggered a landslide in Yugan County of Jiangxi Province, China on Tuesday, blocking a road with over 700 cubic meters earth. Local officials and staff members from emergency departments rushed to the site and deployed personnel and excavators to clear the earth from the road.

As a thoroughfare for four administrative villages, its closure affected about 6,000 villagers. Several train stations in Huangshan have announced that they would suspend services from Tuesday to Thursday due to the heavy rains. The railway department suggested passengers make proper travel arrangements after consulting announcements on official websites.
