Heavy downpours submerge streets in Hanoi

Prolonged heavy rains triggered by Typhoon Bualoi’s circulation have inundated many streets in Hà Nội since early Tuesday morning. Until the evening, heavy downpours continue to batter the city, leaving many already flooded streets submerged even deeper.

The floodwater has made it nearly impossible for the traffic, forcing people to wade through deep water of more than half a meter. Since early morning, the flooding has led to at least 65 submerged locations in Hanoi, near the University of Electricity. Highest rainfall was recorded at 2:30 pm local time on Tuesday.
