






Most of the Myanmar People use traditional medicine till today. At present, there are 50 patients who are receiving medical treatments at the 100-bedded Traditional Medicine Hospital (Yangon). About 100 patients are seeing at the Out patients ward daily. The Traditional Medicine Hospital (Yangon) is giving treatments to various kinds of diseases such as Osteoarthritis, Paralysis, neuropathic pain and gynecological, ulcer disease and Infantile Beriberi.
Mu Mu Cho, Medical Superintendent, Traditional Medicine Hospital (Yangon) said "If people receiving treatments at the outpatient ward need to be hospitalized, they are admitted to the in-patient ward for treatment. 6 main departments have in the hospital and we refer to the patients in the relevant departments. OPD is opening at 8 AM to 12 PM and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM twice a day, except the public holidays."
The Department of Traditional Medicine is giving healthcare services for everybody to be long-lives with the traditional medicine. Moreover, the hospital is also giving treatments to the patients with the herbal leaves, flowers, roots, fruits and cortex.
