Healthcare Services: Super Speciality Program in Myitkyina

Under the Super Speciality Program, the Ministry of Health is providing healthcare services to the public by conducting field medical tours, comprising specialists from Yangon, Mandalay, and Nay Pyi Taw.

On February 24th and 25th, a team comprised of specialists from Nay Pyi Taw's 1000-bed People’s Hospital and Mandalay's 550-bed Children's Hospital conducted a second-time field medical tour to Myitkyina in Kachin State. During the tour, over 1,200 patients with various ailments from 8 townships of Kachin State received treatment, with some being transferred to Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw People’s Hospitals for further treatment, including a successful surgery for a patient with a blood clot in the head.

Additionally, 70 senior citizens aged 65 and above, including individuals with chronic diseases, were administered Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines with the arrangement of the Kachin State Public Health Department.
