





Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko on Wednesday attended the opening ceremony of a free clinic located in Kan Phyar Ward of Myeik Township. The clinic is organized by the Myanmar Medical Association (Myeik) to serve local residents and ethnic communities.
In the opening ceremony, the leader of the Myanmar Medical Association (Myeik) free clinic team explained the objectives behind establishing the facility. Following the briefing, the Chief Minister and well-wishers donated a total of 17.6 million Kyats to support the clinic's operations, which was officially accepted by the team leader.
And, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the clinic’s facilities and the preparations made to provide medical care. The clinic will operate with 3 doctors on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday - both medical consultations and medicines will be provided free of charge.
The clinic aims to assist local residents and ethnic people who face difficulties accessing hospitals or private clinics. Its primary goals are to support the physical and mental well-being of the community and to provide a bridge for those needing intensive care by referring patients who require hospitalization to the People’s Hospital for further treatment.
