Healthcare Service: 6-Month Auxiliary Midwife Training Completes

The ceremony of completing 6-Month Auxiliary Midwife Training organized by the Thanintharyi Region Government was held at the meeting hall of the region government office in Dawei Township at 9 AM on Wednesday.

At the occasion, Thanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko said that the core mission of giving training for the volunteered medical workers-auxiliary midwives is to offer the necessary healthcare for the region by implementing medical services including the health of maternal and child in cooperation with the supervision of the assigned medical staff in the relevant areas.

The nature of healthcare services and basic knowledge that are essential to know as an auxiliary midwife are now already learnt by the trainees so that they all required to effectively apply their practiced skills and knowledge in giving maternal and child healthcare services.

Apart from that, they will be required to actively participate into additional medical cares at the respective areas. Putting full of good intention, the Chief Minister urged those volunteered workers to contribute into giving care for the pregnant women, women in labor, women in postpartum period and children aged under five with full capacity when they are back at the original places informing to the assigned medical staff on their arrival.

Afterwards, the head of the department of public health and medical services explained about the training and the Chief Minister presented the training completion certificate to an auxiliary midwife on behalf of the trainees while the Chief Justice of Region High Court provided the auxiliary midwife kit boxes.
