Healthcare Sector in Rakhine: Union Minister provides rice, makes inspection

Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win who is currently in Sittwe of Rakhine State together with officials attended a ceremony to provide rice to health staff at the Sittwe General Hospital on 15th June.

At the event, the Union Minister expressed word of thanks to the health workers for their efforts in providing health care services to the cyclone-affected people.

He also said that Rapid Response teams are providing health care services in townships of Rakhin State. He stressed that necessary public health care services for dengue and diarrhea diseases will be added, efforts are being made in implementing basic infrastructure for healthcare services.

On the same day, the Union Minister and party visited the Sittwe Nursing and Midwifery Training School and Traditional Medicine Hospital, inspected completion of rehabilitation works and fulfilled the needs.
