





Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win visited Taungoo People’s Hospital on Friday, and inspected the preparedness measures for mitigating natural disaster.
In meeting with the Medical Superintendent, specialists and staff, the Union Minister expressed thanks for the efforts fo the health staff in flood respond measures, and urged all to carry out the tasks, abiding by the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health. During the meeting, 3.5 million kyat cash assistance were provided for the 70 affected staff in Bago Region and 1 million kyat for those serving duties at the flood hit areas.
They then visited the relief camps at Deckhina Rama and No.3 Basic Education High School and provided the relief supplies. He also observed the health care services and catering services to the flood hit people. A total of 104 medical teams are providing health care services to the flood hit victims in Taungoo and the relief camps on a daily basis.
