Health Sector Improvement: Work coordination meeting on public health and treatment

A work coordination meeting on public health and treatment was held at the Myanmar National Center for Disease Control on Thursday. Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win attended the meeting and made a speech, saying that hospitals must be a reliable facility for the public, providing quality health services.

Emphasizing in implementing the preventive measures for communicable and non-communicable disease, the Union Minister highlighted that tasks have been carried out efficiently, with sufficiently supply of medicines and medical equipment down to the rural health units.

He pledged to continue supports for emergency treatment and laboratory tests, with further provisions of medicines and medical equipment. He called for collaborative efforts of all concerned persons for improvement of public health care services.

The meeting discussed the opening of health units and hospitals and treatment conditions, delivery performances at the Labour Room, supply of medicines and medical equipment, preventive measures for infectious diseases including Mpox and diarrhea as well as disaster preparedness measures.
