






Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin accompanied by state government members and departmental officials paid respect to the Thet Taw Shay NgaSaingYaingChaung Sayadaw receiving medical treatment at the 500-bed hospital in Sittwe Township on Wednesday morning and donated offertories and nutritious food.
Then, the Chief Minister and party comforted the patients and provided nutritious food. During the meeting with the specialists, physicians and medical personnel, the Chief Minister stressed that the government emphasized on health and education sectors in building modern and developed democratic nation.
As transportation sector of Rakhine State needs to be developed, most of the residents rely on Sittwe Hospital for their health issues, and only those who can afford the transportation costs can travel to Yangon and other cities to receive better medical treatments, and, he added. Currently, the required medicine for the Sittwe Hospital are transported to the hospital with the support of the National Disaster Management Committee.
The Chief Minister also urged to ensure the systematic transportation of the medicine to the necessary places. Then, the reports on procedures and requirements of the hospital were presented by the medical personnel and state government members supplemented the reports. Then, the Chief Minister provided 5 million kyats cash assistance and foodstuff for the medical personnel and cordially greeted them.
