Health Care Services: Specialist Team from Yangon in Mawlamyine

In order to provide healthcare services to the locals in Mon State, 12 professors and specialists from Yangon General Hospital, Yangon Children's Hospital and 500–bed Specialty Hospital under the leadership of Medical Services Department (Nay Pyi Taw)visited Mawlamyine People’s Hospital.

On Saturday morning Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, along with the state ministers, oversaw the provision of healthcare services by specialist medical team to the patients with gastrointestinal, neurological, blood, cardiological, orthopedic, hormonal and oral diseases.

The Chief Minister and party encouraged the patients, gave words to thanks to the specialists and presented memorable gifts. The medical treatment was conducted at Mawlamyaing People’s Hospital from 16th to 17th September for 2 days.

The Ministry of Health has been carrying out medical treatment programs twice in Rakhine state, once in Ayeyawaddy Region, once in Shan State in 2023 and scheduled to be implemented in other regions and states.
