Health Care Services: Dental and eyes treatment and new hospital building

Union Minister for Health Professor Dr Thet Khaing Win visied the the Universities Hospital in Yangon on December 14th.

The hospital is providing dental care and eyes treatment to the public including the faculties and students under the supervision of Yangon Region Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committee. A total of 44 patients received dentures and 15 patients with cataract received surgery.

The Union Minister and party also viewed the Out-Patient Ward, Laboratory, Operation Theatre, Medical Ward and Specialty Ward. They then proceeded to New Yangon General Hospital, and inspected the newly constructed 4-storey annex building.

The Construction Special Group (1) has undertaken the construction of the new building, at a cost of over 2.1 billion kyat budget allotment by the Ministry of Health.
