Health Care Sector: Duty Coats & Nursing caps presenting ceremony

The Department of Human Resources for Health, under the Ministry of Health, organized a Duty Coats and Nursing Caps presentation ceremony for the trainees who had completed a 3-year Nursing-Midwifery Diploma Course at the Nursing and Midwifery Training Schools in Nay Pyi Taw.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Directors-General, Deputy Directors-General, concerned officials and invited guests.

In his opening remarks, the Union Minister expressed his appreciation for the nurses who actively participate in providing healthcare services across the country, aiming to improve the health standards of people in rural regions.

He urged the trainees to diligently learn both practically and theoretically during their training period, so that they can provide better healthcare services to the public. He also emphasized that the Ministry of Health and relevant regional/state governmental organizations are providing assistance and meeting the needs of the trainees.

The Union Minister further mentioned that a total of 1,610 trainees from 36 Nursing and Midwifery Training Schools, as well as 182 trainees from 6 Nursing-Midwifery Diploma Training Schools from all regions and states, including Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, were presented with Duty Coats and Nursing Caps.

Subsequently, the Union Minister and officials presented awards to outstanding trainees, followed by the presentation of duty coats and nursing caps. One of the trainees expressed gratitude during the ceremony. The event concluded with performances by the trainees.
