Historic Harput Castle in Türkiye’s eastern province of Elazığ had been covered in white following snowfall. Located in the Harput neighborhood, which is included on UNESCO’s Tentative World Heritage List, the 1,200-meter-high castle and surrounding historic structures, home to many civilizations over centuries, were left under a thick layer of snow.

The striking winter scenery was captured in aerial footage, revealing the castle and historic quarter transformed into a picturesque landscape.
