Hanoi rolls out AI cameras citywide

Nearly 2,000 AI-powered cameras are being installed across Hanoi of Viet Nam to enhance traffic management and urban order. Each device can rotate 360 degrees, detect objects from a distance of up to 700 metres, and operate under all weather conditions.

Equipped with artificial intelligence, the cameras can automatically identify and analyse traffic violations in real time before transmitting the data to the central monitoring centre for verification. Under the city’s plan, more than 40,000 cameras will be installed, including over 16,000 dedicated to managing traffic safety, environmental control, and urban order.
