Handing Over Cash Assistance: MOI Union Minister handed over cash assistance

The handing over ceremony of cash assistance provided by the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister for the members of Hlegu Township Writers Association who were affected by the flood was held at the Mingalar Hall of Yangon Region Government Office in the morning on 24th November.

The ceremony was attended by the Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and region Ministers, Chief Justice of Yangon Region High Court, Chairman of Myanmar Writers’ Association U Ohn Maung (Myinm u Maung Naing Moe) and members, members of Hlegu Township Writers Association and invited guests.

First, the Union Minister for information U Maung Maung Ohn said the cash assistance provided by the Chairman of State Administration Council for the members of Hlegu Township Writers Association who were affected by the flood are handed over today, the government is implementing for the peace and stability of the country and socio-economic development of the people by setting the work programs.

The State is providing for the members of literature field and the doyen literati as much as it can and the literati and writers are called for describing true news and correct information for the State and the people against the disinformation and fake news to free the people from dangers and atrocities in the situations in Shan State (North).

The Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein explained providing assistance in timely manner during the flood disaster by Region Government and carrying out rescue efforts by opening relief camps and implementations to protect from the flood disaster in the future.

Then, the Union Minister handed over cash assistance by the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister for the members of Hlegu Township Writers Association and a representative of association accepted the assistance. Next, the Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein provided cash assistance. After expressing words of thanks by the Chairman of Hlegu Township Writers’ Association, the ceremony was concluded.
