The fish market and surrounding streets in Hamburg's waterfront have been submerged following a storm surge caused by storm Zoltan. On the North Sea coast and along the Elbe and Weser rivers, the German Weather Service (DWD) has warned of a strong storm surge and gale-force gusts on the coast. Storm Zoltan has caused rail traffic disruptions across Germany only a few days ahead of the Christmas holidays.
