Hamas militants and Red Cross vehicles deployed in Gaza City waiting to cross the Yellow Line

Armed Hamas militants and Red Cross vehicles in the Shejaiya district of eastern Gaza City wait for authorisation to go beyond the so-called Yellow Line, the boundary behind which Israeli troops pulled back and remain stationed under the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.

Israel had previously allowed Hamas, the Red Cross and an Egyptian team to cross the Yellow Line to search for hostage bodies. Hamas' armed wing said it would hand over the bodies of three Israeli captives that were found in the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday as part of the ongoing hostage-prisoner exchange.
