Haikui No.1 completes installation

Chinese pioneering cylindrical floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facility, Haikui No.1, completed installation in the South China Sea on Monday after the last of its mooring cables was connected.

The FPSO facility, an offshore oil and gas processing project capable of crude oil production, storage and export, has become the mainstream production facility for global offshore oil and gas development. Haikui No. 1 represents the first time in China that cylindrical marine equipment has undergone tie-back and installation, which is a great test for ship positioning and underwater operation.
