Guterres at G20 opening

The Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres participated in the opening of the G20 Summit in New Delhi, India. The UN chief was welcomed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The UN Secretary-General participated in a number of G20 sessions for bilateral meetings. Speaking on the eve of the G20 summit of advanced economies, Mr. Guterres said global leadership was especially needed in two priority areas, climate action and sustainable development.
