Guerrilla bomb attack leaves 19 wounded in Colombia

An explosives attack by dissidents of the now defunct FARC guerrillas against a police station in southwestern Colombia leaves at least 19 people injured, including a police officer, according to Authorities.

The rebels, who rejected the historic 2016 peace agreement with the Colombian state and walked away from the negotiating table with the leftist government of Gustavo Petro, impose a regime of violence in their strongholds where drug crops abound. 

Defense Minister reported that the attack occurred around 14H20 local time, when the rebels set off an explosive charge on a motorcycle in the municipality of Piendamo, in the department of Cauca.
