Ground inspection tour: Kachin State CM made inspection tour around Myitkyina

The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, together with responsible officials, inspected the cleanliness, beautification efforts, and the blooming of seasonal flowers along the main roads of Myitkyina in the morning on March 12. During the field inspection, the Chief Minister first visited the Swamprabum (Union) Road in Myitkyina, where he observed and inspected the landscaping work being carried out by the City Development greenery workers on the road islands within the Tatkone Ward, as well as the beautifully blooming flowers along the road.

Continuing the inspection, the Chief Minister visited the intersection of Union Road and Thakhin Nat Pe Road, the area in front of the railway station along Thakhin Nat Pe Road, and the intersection of Anawrahta Road and Sipinthaya  Road. He examined the blooming of flowers, the growth conditions of large shade trees, the collective cleaning efforts by municipal staff in the Sein Mya Ayeya Park and children’s playground, and the construction of new median islands along Union Road planted with flowers to ensure public vehicle safety. He conducted a thorough inspection and coordinated with responsible officials to continue these efforts.

Additionally, in the afternoon on 11th March, the Chief Minister attended a meeting in the compound of the District Agriculture Department office in the Man Khein Ward, where he met with farmers from Myitkyina District who are preparing to plant winter crops. He delivered a speech and oversaw the distribution of urea fertilizer manufactured by MPE at affordable prices, coordinating with relevant department officials to address the farmers’ needs.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister and officials visited fields No. 45 and No. 31 in Pa La Na (2) Gant Gaw Myaing Village, where they inspected the post-harvest conditions of monsoon paddy fields. They reviewed the state government’s support in providing soy bean seeds, the construction of solar-powered wells for irrigation, and the planting of winter soy bean crops in the fields. They also planned and arranged to expand the cultivation of additional crops.

After that, the Chief Minister and party visited the Ayeyarwady River Jetty in Lamyang Village, where they inspected the operations of gravel extraction sites. They assessed the progress of gravel extraction within designated areas, ensuring compliance with legal procedures to prevent illegal encroachments and unauthorized extraction. He coordinated with responsible officials to conduct field inspections along the river to ensure operations align with regulations.
