





In making effort for obtaining target yield of monsoon, extended cultivation of autumn double oil crops and other double crops in full swinging, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, State Ministers and departmental officials met with the farmers from Mohnyin and Moe Gaung Townships of Mohnyin District on 7th October.
First, the Chief Minister and party met with the local farmers at Mohnyin District collective office, gave words of encouragement for the cultivation of double crops after harvesting the monsoon paddy and oil crops and offer to discuss the requirements of the farmers.
Next, the State level departmental officials urged the farmers to use the land productively without leaving land uncultivated and the Chief Minister coordinated requirements reported by the farmers. After that, the Chief Minister and wife visited pre-school run by the District Social Welfare Department in Aung Tha Pyay Ward of Mohnyin Township, cordially met with the children, provided 1 million Kyats of cash assistance for the school and distributed nutrient foodstuff to the children.
Later, the Chief Minister and party departed from Mohnyin Township, visited Border Areas Ethnic Youth Development Training School (Hopin) in Hopin Township and met with the principal and students at the school hall. At the meeting with the students, Chief Minister gave words of encouragement, heard the report of the principal, coordinated requirements with the officials from the administrative sector and the departmental officials and proved 1 million Kyats of cash assistance for the school.
At Moe Gaung Township, Chief Minister met with the local farmers, gave necessary instructions and fulfilled requirements reported by the local farmers. The Chief Minister also inspected the unusable land in Mayan Village submitted by the local farmers and coordinated to address the requirements.
During the trip to Mohnyin and Moe Gaung Townships, patron of State Maternal and Chilld Protection Supervisory Committee wife of Chief Minister visited Moe Gaung Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association office, cordially met with the expectant mothers, inspected delivery room and provided nutrient foodstuff and cash assistance.
