Ground inspection tour: Kachin State CM inspected regional development works

For the development and food security and the expansion of agriculture and livestock in Bamaw District of Kachin State, the Chief Minister U KhetHtein Nan accompanied by the State Ministers and departmental officials made a ground inspection in the morning on 19th February.

First, the Chief Minister and party attended a ceremony of handing over capital loan for the second revolving year of project to the wards and villages in Bamaw District which will carry out the agriculture and livestock with the Country’s Economic Promotion Fund held at the meeting hall of the collective office in Bamaw Township.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister expressed his thanks for the successfully implemented the project of first involving year of project by 2994 households from 38 villages with 1.860 billion Kyats loan and their full repayment and his pleasure for disbursing 1.520 billion Kyats of loan to the 34 project units and urged to make more efforts for the development of the State and the country.

Next, the Chairman of District Administrative body clarified the implementation of project works for the improvement of Administration, economy, social and country’s economic promotion projects with Power point. Next, the Chief Minister and State Ministers handed the capital fund for the second project involving to the villages in Bamaw, Mansi and Moe Mauk Townships through the members of District, Township and Village supervising committees and one of the members expressed words of thanks and the Chief Minister gave a speech of conclusion.

Then, the Chief Minister and party inspected construction of new meat and fish market building in No (1) Thiriyadana market and instructed to construct retaining wall near the new market building, cleaning at the vicinity of the market and the completion of construction works within scheduled time. From there, the chief Minister and party cordially greeted the patients who are undertaking medical treatments in Bamaw People’s Hospital and provided cash assistance.At 8 AM on 20th February, the Chief Minister and party attended the ceremony of putting into service of new steel reinforced PinSinKone Bridge which is 130 feet long and 20 feet wide.

At the ceremony, the Chief Minister gave an opening speech, Township Development Committee Executive Office clarified regarding the construction of new PinSinKone Bridge and one local resident expressed words of thanks. The chief Minister, State Ministers and Chairman of District Administrative Body opened the bridge by cutting the ceremonial ribbon, the Chief Minister unveiled the bridge inscription by pressing auto button and sprinkled the stone inscription with scented water. After presenting gift in commemoration of opening new bridge by the Township development committee executive officer, the documentary group photo was taken and the Chief Minister and party and departmental officials and local residents walked on the bridge, cordially greeted the local people and viewed the tomato plantation on the floating islands.

After that, the Chief Minister and party attended the opening ceremony of Thahaya(သဟာရ) Hall in the Bamaw university’s main building, viewed the collecting biometric and biographic data of the university students and issuing Unique Identity (UID) and provided cash assistance for the personnel.

Then, the chief Minister and party attended 13th batch of convocation ceremony of Bamaw University and gave a speech of honoring graduation ceremony. Later, the Chief Minister and party also inspected the implementations of agriculture and horticulture in the villages in Bamaw and Moe Mauk Townships.

The Chief Minister also met with the Township level departmental officials at the meeting hall of the Moe Mauk Township General Administration Department, gave necessary instruction and provide cash assistance.The chief Minister also inspected Village development works in new Si-In Village where the displaced households from IDP camps are resettled and provided cash assistance. At the meeting hall of Myathida Guest House in Bamaw Township, the Chief Minister met with the livestock farmers, business entrepreneurs and departmental officials and coordinated between the entrepreneurs and the livestock farmers.
