





The Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, along with government ministers and officials, carried out activities to promote agriculture, livestock breeding, and MSME production businesses in the Nyaunglebin District on January 13.
The Chief Minister visited the Baingder village in Nyaunglebin Township, where he observed the successful use of a water wheel to irrigate 50 acres of mixed vegetable fields along the Baingder Creek, which was part of a Bago Region Government initiative. He also visited the 250-acre successful fields of green gram bean in the Sandwingkone village of Nyaunglebin Township and the livestock breeding project by U Win Htay, who is raising 1,000 ducks and 3,000 local chickens implemented with the Country’s Economic Promotion Fund. He provided support and coordination with responsible officials to address any necessary requirements.
Next, the Chief Minister visited the vegetable wholesale markets in Baingdarvillage, where he inspected their operations. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the vegetables reach consumers as fresh and quickly as possible, without delays in transportation. He also worked to ensure that the producers can sell their products directly from their farms without intermediaries, promoting direct market connections.
The Chief Minister further visited MSME entrepreneur U Aung Myo’s Phoe Shwe La Bakery in Baingdar village, where he observed their operations. He encouraged the business to expand beyond local exports to international markets, improve packaging systems, ensure food safety in production, and work with the relevant authorities to obtain FDA certification.
