Grand ceremony of historic pagoda: Diamond bud and golden umbrella hoisted atop the pagoda

The grand ceremony of 5th gilding full circumference of ancient historic Shin-Pin-Sett-Kein-Te pagoda and hoisting diamond bud, pennant-shaped bane and golden umbrella atop the pagoda was held at the pagoda platform situated in Minbu Township of Magway Region in the morning on full moon day of Wagaung which falls on 19th August.

First, the congregation led by the Region Chief Minister Thiri-Pyanchi U Tint Lwin observed eight precepts, took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha, offered diamond bud and pennant-shaped bane to the members of Sangha and joined the procession of diamond bud, pennant-shaped bane and other religious objects in clockwise direction on the pagoda platform.

Then, led by the group of golden umbrella, the tiers of golden umbrella, pennant-shaped bane and diamond bud were hosted atop the pagoda and tossed the banknotes in commemoration of achieving the ceremony.After the consecration ceremony of the pagoda by the members of Sangha, the grand ceremony was successfully concluded, it’s reported.
