Graduation Parade: 26th Intake of the Defence Services Technological Academy

Graduation Parade of 26th Intake of the Defence Services Technological Academy (DSTA) took place at the Parade Ground of DSTA in PyinOoLwin on Thursday.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General ThadoeMahaThraySithuThadoeThiriThudhamma Min Aung Hlaing attended the parade where he received the salute of the cadet columns, and inspected them.

Then, the cadet columns marched past and saluted the Senior General. The outstanding awards were later presented to the cadets of versatilities, excellence in training and literature. In his speech, the Senior General praised the military engineers who served their duties in the nation building efforts in successive eras.

He stressed that constant efforts are being made for engineering education in order to gain accreditation, keeping abreast with the international community. He pointed out that a good engineer must have Engineering Philosophy which is the concept to apply their expertise for the interest of the community.

Emphasizing the priority of technological advancement in the modern wars, the Senior General urged all to be well-versed in their subjects through research works, and apply them practically and effectively. 

Then, the Senior General later received the salute of the cadet columns and left the parade ground. After the ceremony, the Senior General met with the outstanding cadets and their relatives. He expressed words of honour, urging them to continue their efforts to be in compliance with the changing trend of age.
