








The Graduation Ceremony of the 85th Intake of the Pilot Course of the Tatmadaw (Air) was held in Meikhitla on Thursday, with the attendance of Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, on behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.
After saluting the state flag, the graduation company and the guard of honour saluted the General, who later inspected the graduation company and the guard of honour. They then marched past the General while the trainer pilots saluted the General with the formation of training aircraft and helicopter squads.
The pilot wings were then presented to the graduated pilots, followed by presenting outstanding awards for the best pilot, excellence in training, and excellence in studies.
In his graduation speech, General Tun Aung urged the graduated pilots to give their best in serving their duties under any circumstances to achieve successful outcomes. He also stressed the need for continuous learning to skillfully handle modern equipment and technologies to stay abreast of the changing trends.
After the ceremony, General Tun Aung met with the outstanding pilots and their parents. It is learned that the graduated officers will continue advanced training courses related to their respective aircraft and helicopters.
In the evening, a graduation dinner in honor of the completion of the 85th Intake Pilot Course was held, accompanied by entertainment provided by the Tatmadaw (Air) Music Band.
