Graduation ceremonies: Kachin State CM gave a graduation speech

The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, Chief Justice of the State High Court and State Ministers attended the 17th Engineering graduation ceremony of the University of Technology (Myitkhina) under the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Technology held at the convocation hall at 9 AM on 18th February.

At the ceremony, the Chief Minister gave a graduation speech to the 17th engineering graduates.

Next, the Pro-Rector of the University conferred the engineering degrees to the 38 graduates in persons including 15 Civil Engineering graduates, 6 Electronic engineering graduates, 9 Electric Power engineering graduates, 8 Mechanical Engineering graduates and signed the certificate of degree for 39 graduates as the distance receivers.

Then, the Chief Minister, Pro-Rector and faculty members and graduate students posed for the documentary group photo.

At the same time, the State Minister for Security and Border Affairs and Minister for Social Affairs attended the 12th graduation ceremony of University of Computer Studies (Myitkyina). The Pro-Rector of the UCS (Myitkyina), faculty members and members of board of management conferred the B.C.sc degree to 22 graduates and B.C. Tech degree to 10 graduates and signed the certificate of degree for 10 graduates as the distance receivers.

The Chief Minister and party also inspected the 44.05 acres of thriving double crops plantation including soybean, sunflower and vegetables in Pampatee Ward.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and wife and officials attended the opening ceremony of 2023-2024 academic year Inter-Subjects Men football competition held at Myitkyina University and gave an opening speech. Then, the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of the State High Court and State Ministers cordially greeted the athletes from 12 football teams and the Chief Minister provided 2 million Kyats for the football competition and the State Minister for Social Affairs contributed sports wares for the university.

The Chief Minister opened the first match between Team Geology Major and Team Physics Major by kicking the football and enjoyed the competition of the two teams.
